Venice is one of the gems of Italy. It is visited by millions of tourists every year. Attractions such as the canals and St Mark’s Square make it unique. The canals connect many small streets where you can take a water taxi.

Of course, this comes at a price, but it is worth it. You can get to many places via the canals. And in the square, you can enjoy the sunshine and admire the grand old buildings. It is important to remember, however, that feeding pigeons and littering is punishable by law, so be careful. If you fancy a cruise, there are also boat trips available. Note, however, that it is not possible to drive all over Venice, as the small streets are too narrow for vehicles. The best way to get around is on foot. There are churches, restaurants, cafés and shops to visit. Venice was a major centre of trade and art in the Middle Ages, so it’s also worth visiting museums to learn more about the city’s history.
