Life in Central Europe

LEVEL: Intermediate

Many people would get surprised if they knew how much Central Europe has improved in the past few years. As I live in Hungary, I have a lot of experience to talk about.

First of all, let me talk about the economy. For example, the Hungarian Government has started to focus on families nowadays. Big families get higher support when they want a new home.

Secondly, the condition of the roads has also been improved a lot: the infrastructure of traffic around villages has developed. They are more accessible. Motorways have been built between larger cities and countries like Slovakia, Hungary and Croatia.

We can roam around freely in the streets at night because nobody will assault us. Furthermore, tracking down criminals is more efficient: CCTV and social media help the work of the police.

Central Europe has also become attractive to big multinational companies as well. They offer work opportunities to many people. BMW has huge factories in Debrecen producing the latest models.

In conclusion, if you want to see another developed region of the planet, catch the next flight or train to Krakow, Prague or Budapest.
